Who are you?
“Yaateeh!! I’m Zach Ander Thomas, but I usually go by Zanders. I’m a 2Spirit Creative, educator, model, and activist. I come from the land and my mother, white shell woman. As a creative, I want to use my voice that’s loud like thunder, to continue to represent my two-spirit community respectfully. As I stand here with my beautiful brown skin, my thick horse hair, and my fierce dark brown eyes, I am committed to learning, teaching, and empowering my communities with visual arts, education and culture.”
What will you bring to the Home of Sutai?
“Cunt, face, body, and confidence. That’s really what it is, the presence of my creative energy that speak for me. As a creative or as a designer I am able to tell the story of HOS with being just WHO I am. As a two-Spirit, Gay, Queer, Navajo, my existence and my creativeness is powerful.”
Dreams & Aspirations?
I want to be a designer that is not just know in the indigenous fashion community but also outside of it. I want to collaborate and work with other brands that I love! There are so many things that I want to do but designing is something that I’m excited for in the future because I know I will change the game with my work. I am the next gen of designers so look out for me and my fellow young designers that are next in line in the fashion industry.
What do you love about House of Sutai?
“Within every home, there’s a mother. And I love mine from Sutai. Peshawn has fully embraced me, my spirit, identity and my whole being. She loves me with every ounce of her heart and supports me in who I want to be or what I want to do in my life. She is my mutha, and I think that under every roof the mutha is the one who surrounds the home with love and I can see and feel this with HOS.”
How does House of Sutai make you feel beautiful?
“Personally, I love the glamor of HOS but it truly is my mother who makes me feel beautiful every time I wear my HOS pieces. The amount of love and time that I can feel that were put into them is what really makes me feel beautiful. I can hear and feel Peshawn’s love even when she’s not there. With her pieces it’s a hug from her, I like to think about it that way.”

What is your Zodiac sign or Big 3
“I’m a Leo sun duhhhh, my moon is Pisces, and my rising is cancer. So yes I’m a hardcore lover boy when it comes to my family and my friends. She’s an emotional one but it’s for good reason and my energy is full of nothing but love. So if you see someone on the dance floor shaking some ass and voguing while everyone else is aura farming, yes that was me.”
Favorite Rez Snack?
“Blue corn mush or blue corn frybread. MMMMM!!! With some corn stew that’s been sitting all day OUUUUUU!!! I think that’s a meal LOL!! But if we’re talking gas station snack on the rez then I would say a bag of gummy worms with an Alani and grab a pack of koolaid and mix it all together for sure.”
Favorite TV show or Movie
“My comfort movie is Hercules, the Disney cartoon one. Don’t ask me why, I think it’s because little me thought the main character was hot and I wanted to be Meg”
